As part of its business and in order to provide you with the best possible service, SportEasy is required to collect and process its Users’ personal data. SportEasy’s collection, processing, and use of their data is done based on the User’s consent in connection with using the Platform.
This privacy policy, implemented by SportEasy, is intended to provide Users with comprehensive, summarized information on the personal data processing carried out by SportEasy.
SportEasy places particular importance on protecting Users’ privacy and the confidentiality of their personal data, and thus agrees to process data in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and in particular Law no. 78-17 of January 6, 1978 relating to data processing, files, and individual liberties (the “Loi Informatique et Liberté”), and European Regulation (EU) no. 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council dated April 27, 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (GDPR).
What SportEasy collects and why
Mandatory personal data for using the Platform
SportEasy collects personal data that is mandatory to enable Users to use our Platform.
This information is provided to us when creating a User Account:
- Last Name
- First Name
- Role: this can be “coach,” “player,” “occasional player,” “player-coach,” “friend”, “parent”, or “club member”
This data allows the User to be identified on SportEasy, in his/her Organization (team, club, etc.), to enable him/her to make the best use of our Platform.
Non-mandatory personal data for using the Platform
SportEasy collects personal data that is not mandatory to enable Users to use our Platform.
The nature of some of this data is determined and standardized by SportEasy.
This standardized data may be provided to us at any time while using our Platform:
- Nickname
- Phone
- Date of Birth
- Role as a parent: the parent can be a “father”, “mother”, “family” or “other”
- Size
- Weight
- Position: position options vary depending on the sport being played
- Year of Arrival
- License Number
- Jersey Number
Other non-mandatory, non-standardized data by SportEasy may be collected and stored. The nature of this data may be freely determined by a “coach” or an Administrator of the Organization the User is a member of on SportEasy (examples: jersey size, mailing address).
This non-mandatory data, regardless of whether it is standardized or not, is not visible outside the Organization’s area and is used only to facilitate internal management and communications within the Organization.
Data collected automatically when using SportEasy
Data is collected automatically when Users use SportEasy, both on our Site or on our App.
Here is a non-exhaustive list of this data:
- History of attendance and absence at events
- Individual sports statistics
- Messages sent and received
- Pages and content viewed
- Links clicked on by the User
This data is only used to optimize and enhance SportEasy’s user experience.
Technical data
Technical data that may include information on URLs, cookie data, the User’s IP address, device or browser types used by the User to access or connect to the Platform, and the version of the App are also stored and used.
It enables us to solve problems encountered by our Users, improve the Platform’s interface and performance, and detect malicious behavior (fraud, phishing, spam, etc.).
Personal data on children
A User Account may be linked to other “parent” accounts. SportEasy may collect personal data (mandatory or non-mandatory) on children from the User acting as legal guardian for the purposes described in this privacy policy.
If the children are legally able to give their consent to their data being collected, the User acting as legal guardian agrees to obtain their consent before providing the personal data.
Payment data
We do not store payment information when an Administrator subscribes his/her Organization to SportEasy or pays to access the Platform.
For greater security, it is directly transmitted and managed by our payment service providers:
- Adyen in case of payment on the Site by credit card or direct debit
- Adyen and Paypal, in case of payment by PayPal
- Apple in case of payment via the iOS App
- Google in case of payment via the Android App
We do not store payment information when a User makes a payment in the context of a money collection organized by an Organization on the Platform.
For greater security, it is directly transmitted and managed by our payment service providers:
- STRIPE in case of payment on the Site by credit card
Cookies
SportEasy uses cookies that allow the User to log in to the Platform, measure the Site or App’s audience, or customize the User’s experience.
Necessary cookies for browsing the Site
These cookies are necessary for the SportEasy Site to function. They allow the Site’s main features to be used. You may refuse them and delete them using your browser settings, however your user experience may be affected.
Functional cookies
These cookies make it possible to customize the User’s experience.
Analytical cookies
These cookies make it possible to know the Platform’s use and performance and improve how it works by performing analyses on anonymized reports.
Advertising cookies
These cookies enable third-party advertisements and other content to be displayed redirecting you to third-party websites.
SportEasy cannot control or be responsible for third party content and privacy practices. If a User clicks on a third-party advertisement or link, he/she will leave the SportEasy Platform and any personal data provided will not be covered by this Policy. We encourage each User to read these third parties’ privacy policies to learn how their personal data is collected and processed.
How is the data collected?
The User sends us the data directly
By using our Platform (Site or App), a User is asked to send us personal data (mandatory or non-mandatory) and technical data, on his/her own behalf or on behalf of a child for whom he/she is the legal guardian.
This is particularly the case when a User uses our Platform, fills out forms (such as the registration form), participates in one of our games, contests, promotional offers, studies or surveys, contacts us by phone, email or any other means of communication, or when he/she informs us of a problem.
The User is free to directly modify or delete this data or contact us to do so.
Another User sends us data about you
When using SportEasy, another User who is the Administrator, “coach”, or “player-coach” of an Organization you are a Member of may send us data (mandatory or non-mandatory) concerning you or a child of whom you are the legal guardian.
This is particularly the case when an Administrator or coach invites you to join their Organization on SportEasy. This person can pre-fill in some of your data: last name, first name, email, and phone number.
Each User is free to directly modify or delete this data or contact us to do so.
A partner sends us data about the User
Some of our Partners, with whom a User already shares his/her personal data in accordance with their own privacy policies, may send us data concerning him/her.
This is particularly the case when a Partner invites that User to use the SportEasy Platform as part of the agreements that the User has with that Partner elsewhere.

Cookies
SportEasy uses DIDOMI’s consent management platform (CMP) to collect and store the User’s consent regarding cookies.
The SportEasy Platform uses Google Analytics to generate anonymous usage reports that are used to improve the service offered to the User.
Where is this data stored?
The SportEasy Platform is currently hosted in France at Scaleway, Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform at European datacenters. The infrastructure is managed in partnership with the French company Synalabs.
Personal data protection
SportEasy agrees to protect the User’s personal data by technical means and security measures and to only use it for the duration and for the purposes required.
However, please note that no system is completely secure. We have implemented various policies, including encryption, access and retention policies to prevent unauthorized access and unnecessary retention of personal data on our systems.
In order to improve personal data protection, the User should never give his/her password to anyone. If the User believes that his/her password is no longer secure, he/she must change it immediately. We encourage you to use a secure, unique password, limit access to your computer, phone, and web browser, and log out after using the Platform.
SportEasy will promptly investigate and address any privacy concerns brought to its attention by the User and will notify the User of the status of the request in a timely manner.
Transfer of personal data
SportEasy agrees that the User’s personal data will not be transferred to, rented to, or exchanged with third parties.
This commitment includes the data previously presented in the following sections:
- Mandatory personal data for using the Platform
- Non-mandatory personal data for using the Platform
- Data collected automatically when using SportEasy
- Technical data
- Personal data on children
- Payment data
Please note, however, that we reserve the right to disclose data to third parties in a fully anonymized and aggregated form, i.e. in a form that does not allow the User to be identified in any way whatsoever.
Exceptional disclosure to third parties
SportEasy may disclose the User’s personal data to legally authorized organizations and authorities to the extent that disclosure is required or authorized by law, or when SportEasy deems it necessary or appropriate to comply with applicable laws and other regulations, or to protect or defend the User’s rights or those of its employees, customers, or any other person.
SportEasy may disclose a User’s personal data to third parties in the event of an assignment, transfer of assets, reorganization, or liquidation. SportEasy will then notify each User whether his/her personal data will be subject to a different privacy policy.
Finally, the personal data collected may possibly be communicated to third parties linked to SportEasy by contract for the performance of sub-contracted tasks necessary for managing the User’s Account or the Platform.
The User’s Rights

In the event of a dispute, the User may file a complaint with the CNIL (French Data Protection Authority) whose contact details can be found at http://www.cnil.fr.
Right to withdraw consent
The User may at any time revoke his/her consent to any processing of his/her personal data.
Right of object
The User may at any time object to the processing of his/her personal data. If the User exercises this right, SportEasy will stop processing the data concerned, unless SportEasy can justify legitimate, compelling reasons that prevail over the User’s fundamental rights and freedoms, or demonstrate its right to continue processing in order to establish, exercise, or defend its rights in court. However, the User may object to the processing of his/her personal data for marketing purposes at any time.
Right to portability
Where applicable, the User may request the provision of his/her personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format or for his/her personal data to be transferred to another data controller if the processing is based on his/her consent or the performance of a contract and the processing in question is automated.
Rights to access, rectify, delete, and limit processing of personal data
In accordance with the regulations in force, the User has the following rights:
- a right of access
- a right of rectification
- a right of erasure
- a right to limit the processing of personal data
- a right to define guidelines concerning his/her personal data after his/her death
The User may also change his/her personal data at any time by logging in to his/her Account at www.sporteasy.net, or delete all of his/her data by clicking on “delete my account”.
Unsubscribing from communications
The User may unsubscribe from communications regarding SportEasy or SportEasy Partners news by clicking on the unsubscribe link in each of those communications or directly on the Platform.
Data retention period
SportEasy shall store the data for a maximum period of three (3) years from the User’s last login to his/her Account on the Platform, unless the User requests its deletion.
SportEasy may contact the User again, within three (3) months prior to the expiration of the three (3) year retention period for his/her personal data, in order to obtain his/her consent or not to continue to retain his/her data.
Changes to the privacy policy
SportEasy reserves the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy in order to comply with changes in applicable laws and regulations.
If this Policy changes, we will notify you through appropriate notices, for example, by posting a notice on the Platform or by sending you an email. We may notify you of these changes in advance.
